Welcome to Pack 113!

Cub Scout Pack 113, proudly serving San Clemente!

Our program is open to incoming kindergarteners through fifth-graders.

To learn more, read our About Us page and check out all the fun events our Scouts enjoy. Pack 113 is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club and has no religious affiliation (open to all religious preferences). Scouts attend pack meetings, den meetings, and Scouting events September through May. Pack meetings and events alternate between Truman Benedict Elementary School and Vista Del Mar Elementary School.

We offer scouting starting at the kindergarten level through fifth grade, after which time our Cub Scouts bridge to a Boy Scout Troop (sixth through 12th grades).

Join us Tuesday, September 1, from 6-7pm for the first pack meeting of the year. We're meeting at Truman Benedict Elementary (Kinder Lunch Tables). We'll talk about all the exciting activities we have in store for the 2026-2027 year, including the upcoming camping trip, fundraising, and more! Scouts should wear their full Class A Field uniforms (blues for the younger scouts and khakis for Webelos and Arrow of Light). If you have not paid your pack dues yet, please bring a checkbook. We will be outside this time so make sure scouts have an opportunity to use the potty before heading over. See you all there!

Camping Trip Details
The campground is located in a dense pine forest, at an elevation of about 6,400 feet. It is surrounded by picturesque pine trees and miles of scenic landscape. The entrance to the Oso Group Campground is the same as for the neighboring Lobo Group Campground. Both share the region with a variety of wildlife and bird species. The site is equipped with multiple tables, a campfire circle, and grills. Flush toilets and potable water are available at the campground. Please bring your own dinner for Friday night; the pack will provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday, and a light breakfast on Sunday.

Attention all parents! Please join us for an informational parent-only meeting to review the upcoming year of Scouting. Topics to be discussed include fundraising, uniforms, camping, code of conduct, website login and volunteering. We will have our volunteer list at the meeting. Every family is required to sign up for something—we have big and small opportunities to accommodate various family schedules and availability. If you are a den leader or if your family is already volunteering for an existing position, your family's volunteer quota has been filled. If you are unable to attend the parent-only meeting, we will sign you up for one of the leftover volunteer opportunities and reach out with the details. We look forward to seeing everyone and sharing all the exciting plans for a great year of Cub Scouts!

Scouting for Food—Way to Go Pack 113!

Great job on our Scouting for Food Thanksgiving Food Drive, benefiting Family Assistance Ministries in San Clemente!

The Lion Den dropped off the food donations to FAM yesterday. The pack collected more than 320 pounds of food and they were very grateful for the large donation right before Thanksgiving.

October Pack Meeting and Trunk-or-Treat (Oct 16, 2024)

This month's pack meeting at Truman Benedict Elementary School will be followed by a truck-or-treat event in the parking lot. All Scouts come to this meeting in their costumes! Families are encouraged to decorate their trunks and bring candy to hand out. This is a favorite pack meeting of the year for many Scouts! Happy early Halloween!
