Pack 113 serves children in kindergarten through fifth grade in San Clemente, California. Our pack, which meets at Vista Del Mar Elementary School and Truman Benedict Elementary School, typically has around 30 to 50 scouts who are divided into dens of five to eight scouts, based on their grade. We welcome scouts from all schools and currently have scouts from many San Clemente schools. Our pack is chartered by the Kiwanis Club of San Clemente. The pack is non-denominational.

Pack 113’s primary focus is to work with you to build your child’s character and come alongside to create a strong family unit. In addition to character, our Cub Scout program includes emphasis on:
- Attitudes of good character and citizenship
- Personal achievement and encouraging scouts to always do their best
- Love for the outdoors
- Outdoor skills (camping, hiking, fishing, archery, and more)
- Personal fitness
- Beginnings of self-reliance
- Age-appropriate leadership development
- Strengthening scouts’ ability to get along with others and respect adults
- Good old-fashioned fun
Scouts are involved in the same events many of former scouts might fondly remember from their own childhoods, such as the Raingutter Regatta, the Pinewood Derby, and the Blue and Gold Banquet.
Cub Scout Dens
Lion Scouts (kindergarten) work with their families and den to complete achievements and outings, encouraging a strong family unit and getting an introduction to the scouting world.
Tiger Scouts (first grade) work with their families and den to complete achievements and outings, encouraging a strong family unit.
Wolf Scouts (second grade) continue to learn more scout skills as they follow their achievement trail with their families and den.
Bear Scouts (third grade) continue to learn new things but also start to take their scout skills and begin to become more self-reliant.
Webelos (fourth grade) and Arrow of Light Scouts (fifth grade) spend 18 months earning scout achievement pins that prepare them to bridge from their Cub Scouts pack to a Boy Scouts troop.
Dens typically meet once a month. Days and times vary for each den. We also have monthly pack meetings with all the scouts. A variety of outings and activities are offered throughout the year, including a pack camping trip in the fall.
